It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. The moment we finally get to reveal the #fortvillaproject! I’ve been looking forward to this day for months now, so I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been patient enough! This has been our favorite design project to date. And we’re so excited to share it with those of you who weren’t able to tour it in person! Today we’re going to start with the reveal of the kitchen! (Remember when you all took a vote to see this space first?) Well here I am following through on that promise! So sit back and relax as we share all the photos, give you all the deets and provide you with all the sources! Are you ready? Because I’m practically bursting at the seams! So drum roll please….
I’ve always said that the heart of every home is the kitchen. So as it is with every project, it was important for us to help create a space that felt inviting. Did you know that the color blue is often described as peaceful, tranquil, secure and orderly? We wanted to use this calming color as a focal point to the kitchen to create a sense of welcome among guests. Especially since our clients wanted to make sure their home was fit for entertaining!
The black stainless appliances are a feature you don’t see as often, but we love how they compliment and contrast this light and bright space! This project was all about the mix of both modern and Spanish. So we loved how we were able to mix clean lines with curved ones, cool tones with warmth and simplicity with pattern + texture!

I know, I know. Butler’s pantries are the types of spaces you should want to keep hidden. Like where you prep all your meals for dinner parties and hide all the dirty dishes! But this is one that should be on display ALL DAY. In this section of the kitchen, we were able to create a place of pretty and practical. Because who said you can’t have both? With a mix of closed cabinets (for the essentials), open shelves (for the pretty), and glass cabinets (for the sentimental). There’s a place for everything and NOTHING looks obsolete.

In this home, we’ve got seating options galore! A place to formally dine with your friends and family? Of course. A casual seat to eat breakfast in? Obviously. There’s even a spot for you to work from, complete with window views. With an open floor plan like this one, there’s room to do it all! But making each space feel defined is key. Our advice? Keep you home feeling cohesive through color palettes and even repeating materials. But don’t be afraid to switch up your selections!
We hope you’ve enjoyed this virtual tour of the #fortvillaproject kitchen! Stay tuned for more reveals coming to the blog soon.
